Dog Boarding in St. Louis, MO

Secure a trusted companion for your pet whenever you need it with Y Bark Alone. Our leading dog boarding in St. Louis, MO, ensures a safe, clean, and stimulating atmosphere where your pet can flourish–even when you’re away.

Perfect Solution for Every Occasion

There are occasions when having your dog at home isn’t ideal, such as during social gatherings, fireworks displays, or your children’s slumber parties. Similarly, trips like honeymoons, hospital stays, or business travels aren’t suitable for bringing your furry friend. In these situations, a reliable daycare for your dog is helpful.

Y Bark Alone offers a secure, hygienic, and entertaining setting for your canine. Dogs benefit from exercise, socializing, and unwinding throughout their day. Each pet is provided with a personal kennel at night, offering them a cozy, safe place to sleep.

Where Fun Meets Comfort

Dogs naturally seek a secure “den” to rest, becoming irritable and snappy when sleep-deprived, leading to behavioral issues. Thus, every dog receives a kennel at lights out, ensuring they have a safe place to sleep while away from home. To ease the separation, keep farewells brief and positive. When you return, you’ll discover that your dog has thoroughly enjoyed their “holiday” away from home.

Here's a glance at our daily Boarding Schedule

With Y Bark Alone, dogs follow a well-structured schedule, providing fun and discipline in their day:

  • Morning wake-up at 5:30 a.m. for a bathroom break
  • Breakfast time between 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.
  • An 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. phase of cage-free indoor or outdoor playtime
  • Indulging in dinner from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • More playtime between 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Settling in for bedtime and snacks (if permitted) at 6:30 p.m.
  • Last potty break between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. before wishing the sleepy pups a good night

Taking Care of Your Pups' Meals

To ensure your dog has a pleasant stay, please pack each meal separately and bring an adequate amount of food, including an extra day’s portion, just to be on the safe side. We encourage owners to stick to their pet’s regular diet to avoid digestive issues and allergies. That is why we ask you to provide their food.

Rooming Options for Multiple Dogs

For families with multiple dogs, we offer the option to board your pets together or in separate accommodations, provided they are from the same household. Our policy ensures the safety of all our guests by not mixing dogs from different families overnight. We have several different sizes of crates to accommodate every fur baby.

At Y Bark Alone, we want healthy, happy guests. We ensure dogs retire to their crates at night with depleted energy after a busy day of play—thereby reducing anxiety and boredom. At our dog boarding in St. Louis, MO, a tired dog is a happy dog. Plus, daycare is included in our boarding stays at no extra charge.

In a perfect world, you’d be able to take your four-legged friend with you everywhere, but then there are some places you just shouldn’t bring a dog, your honeymoon, the hospital, or on a business trip for example.

If you have to leave your dog behind for a few nights or just an evening, you’ll want to know that he’s comfortable and well cared for while you’re away.

After a fun filled day of activities in daycare, they deserve to indulge in the comfort of a quiet, private place for a great night’s sleep. Our crates come in many different sizes to accommodate your pet the best way possible. If you have multiple dogs, you may choose to board them together or separate in one our suites. Please keep in mind we only board guests in the same suite if they are from the same household. We do not board overnight dogs from different families together for safety reasons.

Please make sure to bring enough food for your pets entire stay. Y Bark Alone prefers not provide food for your pet as we truly believe that keeping them on the same diet reduces the stress on their digestive system and prevents any allergic outbreaks from happening.

We just want our guests to be HAPPY and HEALTHY! Dogs are much happier when they are mentally stimulated and tired at the end of the day. Our goal is to have all of our dogs go into their crates/suites at night with low energy after a long day of play, this prevents anxiety and boredom. Remember a tired dog is a happy dog! The best part is that DAYCARE IS INCLUDED in all our boarding stays at no extra charge!

Post-Boarding Transition

After their stay at Y Bark Alone, you must help your dog adjust comfortably to home life. They are given free access to water during their stay,  but it’s natural for them to seem exceedingly thirsty upon return. We recommend gently withholding water for the first half-hour at home to prevent over-drinking. Start with a small water bowl and monitor their intake to avoid issues like vomiting or bloating.

We also suggest waiting around three hours before feeding them to satisfy their excitement. It helps prevent any digestive upset caused by eating too quickly after returning home. Due to the high activity level here, your dog might return looking more tired than usual.

This tiredness results from physical activities and the stimulation of a new environment. As dogs get more sleep at home, we advise allowing them to rest adequately avoiding trips to dog parks or social settings for a few days post-boarding to ensure they fully recover.
